We are looking for bold ideas to showcase at our 2018 signature event TEDxASU: Boundless

The world is evolving at an ever-increasing rate. Education, science, technology, and art change unrelentingly. With this change comes a growing set of challenges that face society on both a global and individual level. This dynamic environment forces humanity to think differently and with a new perspective as it works to solve a vast array of multiplex problems.

ASU embraces this complex challenge and teaches its students how be “master learners, capable of learning anything throughout their lives” under the slogan, Learn to thrive. Through its mission and charter, ASU embraces the concept of purpose-based discovery and takes responsibility for the global community it serves.

TEDxASU leverages ASU’s values and explores the ideas surrounding an adaptive, transdisciplinary, and creative society in its 2018 event: Boundless. Boundless is defined as having no boundaries; not limited in any way; infinite.

TEDxASU: Boundless will be held on March 31st, 2018 at the Tempe Center for the Arts. We are looking for speakers to discuss a vast array of revolutionary ideas in art, science, technology and education—and the endless possibilities for us to evolve as a society.

  • TEDxASU: Boundless

Boundless: adjective 1. having no boundaries; not limited in any way; infinite

  • March 31st, 2018

Join us at the Tempe Center for the Arts to share your ideas on a local and global stage.

  • Ideas worth spreading

Anybody with a novel idea is eligible to be nominated whether they are an undergraduate, a dean, or anything in between.

Nominations are being accepted until 11:59 PM (Arizona time) on October 20th; selected speakers will be notified by the end of October.

We measure proposals by the power of the idea, and if the platform of TEDxASU can help propel the idea forward.  The speaker presenting the idea needs to have credibility in the space and be actively working on the idea, as well as have the time to work with us to develop a compelling talk. (Fair warning, it is a lot of work–there are rounds of coaching and reviews, all with the intent of helping speakers hit a home run when they walk out onto the stage at the Tempe Center for the Arts.)

Those offering immersive audience experiences, as well as art performances, are welcomed and encouraged to apply for our 2018 TEDxASU event.

We’re seeking proposals from the ASU community and beyond for our 2018 event TEDxASU: Boundless. If you (or someone you know) have profound ideas that are appropriate for a TEDx talk, we want to hear from you. While we’ll review all submissions, we are a small team and cannot respond to each proposal individually.

For speaker guidelines on what we think makes for a great talk, please see here.
